ABOUT IMPERSONATORS

Celebrity impersonators- individuals that chose to embody and transform into other individuals. This can either be because of a deep spiritual connection to their chosen celebrity or a desire to fill the footsteps of this chosen celebrity.

I’ve developed a web series delving into the realities of celebrity impersonators. Our first episode looks at two different Elvis Impersonators who have been drawn to this career through different paths. Our first Elvis is inspired by the gospel music that Elvis produced during his early years, and our second Elvis is drawn to him because of the performer that Elvis was and he has a strong admiration for him as a whole. The idea that such dissimilar individuals can embody the same character in different ways was the main focus of this documentary. We captured our performers in their true forms, places where they are free.
